As you may have seen circulating around the internet lately, many top internet experts have recently penned articles about the eventual demise of our current technology in favor of newer machinery + software, which would include how we view digital images. In particular, one article states to, quite bluntly, “Print out your photos or risk losing them.” I couldn’t agree with this article more, as I regularly make prints or albums of my favorite trips, portrait sessions and even cell phone images.
To give you one idea of how to save your images from the digital abyss that we will one day lose them to, below is a wedding album design that I recently crafted for Ashley + Brett, who were married at the Beaver Creek Lodge in Avon, Colorado, this past September. For this particular album, I chose an 8×8 lay-flat album bound in black alligator leather (rawr) with 40 pages, which is the equivalent of 20 album spreads.
Each spread has its own designation + theme: getting ready photos, detail shots, ceremony images and so forth. My favorite pages from this particular wedding album is the first look, as Brett’s face is priceless; he is genuinely blown away by his gorgeous bride and I’m so glad that I was there to capture those moments.
Right now, I’m working on the wedding album design for Jared + Heather’s Evergreen wedding and I am so thrilled that they, along with Ashley + Brett, elected to select some of their favorite images from their wedding to be bound on high-quality, eternally durable and simply beautiful albums. I hope you’ll opt for the same thing once your wedding photos are ready. Get in touch with me to find out how you can have a deluxe wedding album to forever preserve these invaluable memories!
